The ET9420 is a professional workshop tool for ensuring stable voltage when programming ECUs using a scan tool / undertaking other scan related diagnostic work on 12V vehicles.
When flashing / programming an ECU, it is essential that a voltage stabiliser is used to maintain a steady voltage around 14V DC. Otherwise damage to the ECU may result. This voltage stabiliser will maintain a constant voltage irrespective of the current draw. Very high current draws can occur during flashing, or during general scan tool operation, due to the operation of the components etc.
This unit is designed to maintain a steady 14.2V output with a current matching output specification up to 120A. This high current draw is required by a number of late model European vehicles.
