Snap lock rings have a wide range of automotive uses, such as on brakes, transmissions, machine tools etc. But are incredibly difficult to remove / install without specalised pliers. These pliers are designed with deep serrations on the outside of the jaws to hold lock rings securely, allowing for them to be easily spread.
