These non return valves retain air inside the compressor tank. The air compressor pulls in air through the check valve to pressurise the tank. This air creates a backflow pressure against the valve, in turn closing the valve / holding pressure in the tank.

Our sealing type chucks have a check valve which seals the air passage when not in use. When pressurised, it will open the tyre valve core, allowing air from the hose to be transferred to the tyre.
Sonsbeek sealing type chucks are available in a range of different configurations. Where the chuck is to be connected to a tyre inflator, a non-sealing type should be used.

This Load Genie offers a convenient way to release this trapped pressure. The Load Genie is a combination check and unloader valve. Simply install in the compressor discharge line.
The Load Genie senses air flow when the compressor is running and closes an unloading orifice port. When airflow stops, the Load Genie opens the unloading orifice to release head pressure, and the built in check valve keeps receiver air from leaking back into the discharge line and compressor head.
